My kids love clothes. With fall (and cooler weather) right around the corner, I knew that I would need to get them cool weather clothes soon. After looking through their closet and dresser, I discovered that all they really needed were a few long sleeve shirts and a new coat.
When I heard about Cookie’s Kids, I knew that I had to give them a try. Cookies Kids have 7 stores in the NYC area in Bronx, Brooklyn and Jamaica as well as online at CookiesKids.com. Since we’re not near New York, we shopped online.
When I first entered the site, there was a pop-up for a chance to win an iPad, but I closed that and wasn’t bothered again. The site was easy to navigate and it wasn’t long before I was browsing the correct sections and adding things to my cart.
Besides the ease of use, there were two features that I really loved. The first was the Alva Kids Get the Right Size chart. You put your child’s information in and it tells you what size they would wear in a particular outfit. It takes all of the guesswork out of choosing sizes online. I used it, and all of the clothes that I ordered fit perfectly.
The other feature that I loved was the “other sizes” tab on the product descriptions. This is really useful for me because my kids love to dress the same. Since they shop in different departments, it made it easy to tell if they were both going to be able to get an outfit.
Everything with ordering went well. However, I few days later, I get an email saying that there was an inventory error and Thing 1′s jacket is really out of stock and to call with an questions. I called them first thing the next morning and spoke to a very nice, very apologetic sales representative who told me that I had two options, refund or selecting another item to replace the one that was out of stock. Since I hadn’t selected any other items at that time, he told me to just call back or email when I had made a decision. A little while later, I had a light bulb. Luckily, the “Leaves Alight” coat comes in two colors, black and charcoal. I called back and spoke with another helpful rep who changed the black coat for the charcoal coat. It should arrive either today or tomorrow. Yay!
Overall, I am very happy with my experience with #CookiesKids. Since I signed up for a (free) account; a few times a week I get emails with sales or coupon codes.
