Family Night with Stouffer’s and Ice Age 3

At least once a month, we try and sit down for a family dinner and then watch a movie together. Between work schedules, the kids extra-curricular activities and the holidays, it’s a little harder to do from mid-November to the beginning of the year.

When I heard that Ice Age 4 was being released on December 11th, I knew that we had to rewatch Ice Age 3 in preparation  The kids love the Ice Age movies, but for some reason, we didn’t own this one. So, we had to go buy it. I didn’t tell the kids what movie we were getting until we got there, and they were really excited when I picked up Ice Age 3.

Since we would be having our family night on the same night as gymnastics, I knew that we needed an easy dinner that wouldn’t take much planning. I love Stouffer’s lasagna (more than my own homemade…but shh! You didn’t hear that!), and it’s been an easy way to still eat together when we’re trying to run in 10 different directions.

Right now, when you buy Stouffer’s lasagna and New York Texas toast, you get a free bag of Wonka Candy. Well, you can’t have lasagna without toast. So,we got it all (and for less than $25!)

Both of the kids really enjoyed cuddling and watching Ice Age 3 again (and keep repeating super cute lines like “Way to go, Momzilla!”) They have also written an additional letter to Santa asking him to bring them Ice Age 4, if it’s not too late.
